Alter Bridge is a band I’ve been a fan of since first hearing them in 2004. The band has such a powerful, guitar driven sound with stellar vocals. 15 years after releasing their debut, One Day Remains, the band unleashed their sixth studio album, Walk the Sky, on the same day they made a stop in Dallas. They made their way into town as part of the Victorious Sky Tour alongside Skillet and Dirty Honey. It would be my first time seeing AB since 2011, when I caught them on the AB III Tour. So I was pretty pumped for the show.
In case you’re not familiar with the band, think of Creed with a more dynamic singer. That would because 3 of Creed’s members, Mark Tremonti (guitar), Brian Marshall (bass) and Scott Phillips (drums) formed a new band with singer Myles Kennedy of The Mayfield Four. Kennedy is probably known more for his work with Slash, who he splits time with when not fronting Alter Bridge. So you can see why this band is so highly regarded.
